Wood & engineered floors

Floors with a grain you can read across the room.

What we carry

Three programmes, one finishing studio.

Programme One

European Oak Wide-Plank

Croatian and Slovenian oak, milled in 7″ to 11″ widths. Smoked, brushed, hard-wax-oiled, or invisible-finish. Engineered three-ply for radiant compatibility.

Lead time: 4–7 weeks · Min order: 600 sq ft

Programme Two

French Walnut & Specialty

Steamed and unsteamed French walnut, plus reclaimed elm and cherry from Pacific Northwest mills. For studies, libraries, and rooms that need a deeper tone.

Lead time: 6–10 weeks · Min order: 400 sq ft

Programme Three

Vinyl & LVT

Rigid-core LVT for basements, pool houses, and rentals where wood isn't realistic. We carry only ranges with a 0.7 mm wear layer or thicker.

Lead time: 1–3 weeks · Stocked locally

Finish library

Six finishes, paletted across one programme.

Each finish is offered across the European oak programme so a hallway, a study, and a primary suite can read as one floor — with the right tone for each room.

Bone

A pale, soap-finished oak. Reads chalk-white in north light and warm cream in south.

Linen

Lightly smoked, brushed. The most flexible option in the library — pairs with almost any wall colour.

Tarragon

Mid-tone honey oak with a soft greige cast. Our quietest specifier favourite.

Sienna

A warm tobacco brown. The right choice for older homes with deep crown and built-in millwork.

Espresso

Heavily smoked oak, hard-wax-oiled. Reads black at distance, deep walnut up close.

Custom

Mill-matched to a swatch you bring in. Allow eight weeks and a sign-off panel.

Specification questions

Wood floors, sensibly specified.

Is engineered hardwood as good as solid?
For most modern builds, better. A high-quality engineered plank with a 4 mm wear layer can be sanded and refinished as many times as solid, and remains stable over radiant heat and concrete subfloors.
Will wide-plank floors cup or gap in California?
Properly acclimated and installed at the right ambient humidity, no. We measure substrate moisture before installation and won't lay wood in a building that hasn't reached equilibrium.
Can I run the same floor through a kitchen?
Yes — with a hard-wax-oil or strong UV finish, plus an appropriate door mat at sink and dishwasher. We'll talk through realistic care once we know the household.
What about radiant heat?
Engineered three-ply oak and walnut are compatible. We provide a written start-up sequence so the floor isn't shocked when the system is first commissioned.
